Ahli Microfinance Company (AMC) signed an agreement with King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC) on Wednesday 22/2/2012 to grant AMC employees and clients who renew their loans free cancer insurance through KHCC's Cancer Care Program which enables its members to receive high quality care at KHCC, should they ever be diagnosed with cancer.
The agreement was signed by HRH Princess Dina Mired, Director General of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF), and AMC General Manager. The signing was attended by AMC Chairman Mr. Ahmed Al Khub.
General Manager said that this agreement is part of AMC's efforts to enhance the health and social role of its clients, stressing that although AMC operates in the field of loans and financing, it works towards building a comprehensive relationship with clients and their families through various activities. He added that the selection of King Hussein Cancer Center and Foundation was due to its outstanding medical and scientific reputation on regional and international levels.
In this regard, HRH Princess Dina Mired expressed her happiness to sign this agreement which comes in line with the Foundation's policy to encourage all companies in Jordan to participate in the Cancer Care Program to cover the expenses of cancer treatment. HRH said: "This membership shall serve the company employees and clients if they –Allah forbids – are diagnosed with cancer through a collaborative system with other members diagnosed with the disease".
Ahli Microfinance Company is the first private sector company to operate in the microfinance sector; AMC is one of Jordan Ahli Bank Group since 1999 that offers services through 14 branches in various governorates.
